Faith that can move a mountain

After all my morning CHAOS I found time to do my bible study, On our Knees. I am reading about Faith. Just thought I would share a couple verses and thoughts:
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

I am just going to dissect this verse a little, The first part (but without faith it is impossible to please God) first off I thought I would never hear the words IMPOSSIBLE and GOD in the same sentence. Doesn't it sound strange? But with out faith there can be NO prayer, no matter how great our helplessness may be.
The second part (for he who comes to God must believe that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him) We must diligently seek God, in other words bug him over and over! Keep knocking on his door daily, hourly. It's not very diligent if we pray about something and then don't pray about it until the following week. I am guilty of this myself, only to be left wondering why my prayer wasn't answered. But here is this wonderful verse that God has supplied us with, he must of known we would need it!

You know what makes my God so good?

I can't tell you how many times I have witnessed to people on outreach or in my family that have said to me "what makes your God so much better than what I have right now?" I have always assured them of the obvious like we will be forgiven of our sin, He will guide our life, he has you in the palm of his hand. While praying for family and friends this morning God said " you know what makes me so great, because I reign over everything. I stopped praying and thought about this. How true it is! God reigns over everything...every sickness, every disease, our unsaved family, work situations, broken hearts, hurting children . We can bring any problem to him and let him reign over it no matter if you believer it or not, God still reigns over everything in your life.  Nothing gets by without him knowing about it. What a precious thing this is! If you are born again you don't have to worry like other people do. You don't have to have a heavy burden. You can live stress free and bring all your problems to him and let him deal with them. Jesus said 'my yoke is easy and my burden is light"This is a good reassurance to the people (like me) that naturally stress about everything. I am praying that everyone will grasp this. This is huge to our faith and how big we make God. Ask yourself am I letting God reign?

God's discerning word.

Psalms 19:7-14 The law of the Lord is perfect reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than god, than much pure god; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. then will I be blameless, Innocent of great transgression May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. The Bible clearly shows man his faults and weaknesses. The revealing word makes the sinner very umcomfortable because it accurately points out his hopelessly lost condition. It shows the actual condition of your heart. Only as you acknowledge your own wickedness and go on reading God's discerning Word will you discover His remedy for your sin and find salvation. Let the Bible convict you so that the Holy Spirit may then covert you. Don't criticize the Bible:let the Bible criticize you!

Theres a way that seems right....

Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. Do you see all these things? He asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."

In Mathew chapter 24 Jesus is talking about the end times.

As Jesus was sitting on the mount of olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said,"when will this happen and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

I believe with all my heart that we are living in the end time, the end days right now.

Jesus answered: "watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, I am the Christ, and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars , but see to it that you are not alarmed. such things must happen but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

We are defiantely living in a time of deception. People are sidetracked by the things of the world. They become decieved and it becomes a way that seems right to them. The text above is only a piece of what Jesus says is going to happen in the end times. These things are already happening.

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many Will turn away from the faith an will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Everyone knows that there have already been many people to rise up and say they are Jesus. He warns against this many times in Mathew, how could this just be a coincidence? I hope that people open there eyes and turn to Jesus, if you are backsliden that you would come home. Or if you are just playing religious games. We are living in a wicked and perverse generation. From personal experience I can say there is nothing out there. Not like the love of Jesus Christ! Who else do you know that would lay his life down for you.

So when you see standing in the holy place the abomination that causes desolation spoken of through the prophet Daniel let the reader understand then let those who are in judea flee to mountains. let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of his house. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers. Pray that flight will not take place in winter or on the sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now and never to be equaled again if those for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened At that time if anyone says to you, Look here is the Christ! or, there he is! do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. SO if anyone tells you, There he is, out in the desert, do not go out; or, here he is, in the inner rooms, do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the son of man. wherever there is a carcass. there the vultures Will gather. Immediately after the distress of those days the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.

At that time the sign of the son of man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the son of man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call and they will gather his elect from the four wind, from one end of the heavens to the other.


Now learn this lesson form the fig tree: as soon its twigs get tinder and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass sway until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

No one knows about that day or hour, not event angels in heaven, nor the son, but only the father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the son of man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it Will be at the coming of the son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

My words are not strong enough to stress the truth of the above. There will be a rapture! This is no joke. There are many books people are writing about Gods love and how no one will be left behind and how hell/the devil is not real. Well he is real and God does love us...A LOT. But if you are not forgiven of your sins come judgement day and haven't asked Jesus into your heart. You will find out how real the devil is. It is not even to just believe that there is a God. The bible says even the demons believed in him and that they trembled. If they are trembling why aren't you. Maybe its because you are being deceived.

Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your lord will come. But understand this; if the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the son of man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when her returns. I tell you the truth he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself my master is staying sway a long time, and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at n hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

We are seeing more and more everyday all of these things that are to happen in the end times. I am only writing this because I love and care for you. Even if you are a person I havent had contact with for years. Let me ask you this, are you ready? Jesus is coming again weather you believe it or not. The prophecies in the Bible are not just a coincidence. Do your own research on it. Wouldn't it be worth it to you.

How big God really is!

This is possibly the shortest post I have ever done but I just wanted to make a real quick note about how big God really is.
Isaiah 40:12-40:31 Is an amazing picture at who God really is. It speaks of how powerful and imcomparable he is.
My favorite verse out of this chapter is: Look up into the heavens who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his GREAT POWER and INCOMPARABLE STRENGTH not a single one is missing.

Exercise for the body and Exercise for the soul

I have just began exercising almost everyday of the week. I am not the kind of person that can do the same boring exercise over and over until I know it by heart, I like to really push my self to my limits everyday. The effect it's had on my body are amazing. However if I don't exercise everyday and miss a day I really pay for it the next day. All this got me to think about the exercising that I need to do for my soul everyday. If I don't then I get spiritually lazy and pay for it. I know this is all elementary but sometimes I need to be reminded how important it is too poor my heart out to God everyday and too read his Word everyday, read it like he is telling me something, to stop and think. What is he saying? What can I learn from this chapter?
I just now am starting to understand that the battle has already been won for me. The powers of darkness cannot stand against me with God on my side, they are to back off if I resist them. There is so much power in knowing this...it's like a all new dimension. It makes me want to not be spiritually lazy so that I can fight harder against the devil. It challenges me to look at every situation through a differant pair of eyes so that I can see the spiritual battle taking place. There are so many everyday situations that come and I would just think this is just the way things are right now, but seeing them from this new dimension I see that there is something spiritual behind so much of my everyday happenings. Things like anxiety, depression, sickness, sick kids, and so called normal everyday stuff. Anxiety and depression is one of the biggest tools of the devil. I have seen him use this card so much in my immediate family. But the victory has already been won. So why do I let my flesh lead me into temptations of worry and doubt. I hate watching my children get assaulted, lately there have been a lot. Normally my response would be to pray, but not with a fighting attitude. To lay down and whine instead of resist the devil.
Last night Gavin had a stomach ache right before bed, which has been happening a lot to all of my kids. I don't think it's just a coincidence that they get stomach aches all the time. It is a total assualt. So after I got out of bed for the third time last night to comfort Gav. because of his stomach hurting. I got mad! Picked up my pillow and crawled in bed with him held his little body close and prayed hard, prayed against assualts and tormenting spirits and continued to everytime he woke up. I slept all night with him and the third time of praying I asked if his stomach felt better. He said yes and fell fast asleep and didn't wake up again untill morning. I relized I didn't get mad like it was an anger issue. But it was something that God rised up in me.
Ephesians 6:12 says, For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly relms. I have always loved this verse but it never REALLY hit me that JESUS not us has won the victory. Another guy put it like this. Each time your spirit goes under and faints in the trials which come to you, you lose mastery over the powers of darkness; you get below them instead of abiding above them in God, Every time you take the earth standpoint, you take a place below the powers of darkness. The matery of them depends on your spirit's abiding in the place above them, and the place above them means knowing God's outlook, God's thought, God's plan, God's ways, by abiding with christ in God.
